Defribrilator
Goytre Community Garden successfully secured funding from Goytre Community Council for an AED – Automated External Defibrillator (Defib). This has now been installed by the main entrance to the church located on Capel Ed lane, Penperlleni,Goytre, Monmouthshire, NP4 0AT.
The Defib is stored in an external cabinet secured to the wall of the church and is accessible 24 /7 by turning the handle to open . YOU DO NOT NEED A CODE TO ACCESS THE DEFIB.
In the unfortunate event that the defib is required to resuscitate a casualty it is vital the ambulance service is contacted immediately and advised of the location so they can attend promptly and give appropriate advice whilst using the defib.

The Defib is battery operated and regularly checked to ensure it is in good working order , instructions on how to use the Defib and the attached pads are clearly displayed on the front panel of the defib itself.
It is vital that if the defib is used that the pads are replaced immediately, therefore please e mail/message the Community Garden, to inform them of when the defib was used and the outcome.
